Raleigh spans nearly a century of concrete. A bungalow garage in Five Points or Hayes Barton may sit on a slab poured before anyone thought about vapor barriers. A ranch in North Raleigh off Six Forks likely has a 1970s or 80s pour with hot tire scarring and control joints that have opened up. And the new construction around Wakefield, Brier Creek and the 540 corridor is often green concrete that still needs moisture testing before a coating goes on.
Those three situations need three different prep plans. We diamond-grind every floor rather than acid-etching, repair cracks and spalls with a polyurea patch, and only then install the coating — which is why our floors outlast the big-box kits homeowners try first.
